

The District sponsors an Annual Spring Tree Sale where fruit trees, ornamental trees, and shrubs are sold - including apple, apricot, arborvitae, barberry, boxwood, burning bush, butterfly bush, cherry, crabapple, crepe myrtle, dogwood, forsythia, grape, holly, hydrangea, juniper, lilac, magnolia, maple, nandina, oak, peach, pear, quince, redbud, snowball, viburnum, weigela, and willow.
In 2010, we added a Fall Tree Sale including mums from PWP Greenhouses.


At the Fentress County Soil Conservation District, we offer rental of various types of equipment to help you get the job done.

The No-Till Seed Drill is 7 feet across. It can be pulled with a 60 hp tractor and requires hydraulic lines and PTO. With 3 seed hoppers, it can be used to plant all grass types without furrowing the soil. The rental fee is $8.00 per acre with a $25.00 minimum payment.

The Manure Spreader has a 5 ton capacity and can be pulled with a 60 hp tractor and requires hydraulic lines and PTO. The rental fee is $50.00 per day with a $150.00 cleaning/damage deposit.

The Corn Planter is a 7 feet wide 4 row planter. It can be pulled with a 60 hp tractor and requires hydraulic lines and PTO. The rental fee is $50.00 per day with a $50.00 cleaning/damage deposit at time of rental.

The Lime Spreader has a 3 ton capacity. It can be pulled with a 60 hp tractorand requires hydraulic lines and PTO. The rental fee is $50.00 per day with a deposit of $50.00 cleaning/damage deposit at time of rental.
